Thumbs up billet short stick noise solution

For those with a billet short stick, like a Quik Stick, Jarrod Holland, or Lou's short stick, you know it transmits chatter into the passenger compartment. I've seen reference to a "Rob mod" but have never been able to find the explanation. Anyway, I tried this for my Jarrod Holland stick and it worked:

Bought a couple of 1/16" rubber washers to go between the stick and the base, and some rubber backed flat washers for each of the bolts connecting the stick to the base. Less than $1 at Lowe's. Now it's as quiet as the stock stick.

Hope this helps someone.
