Big Job (need some oil pan advice)

So I started a big project on a 94 Camaro Z28 Lt1 engine. The clutch was slipping after 3k RPM. So i decided to upgrade to a stage 2 clutch. Took the tranny out the car, bought a new flywheel, and decided to fix a newly discovered leak on rear main seal. Problem was the oil pan seal came out with it, so now i have to replace that seal, seems like the only way to fully take off the oil pan is to lift the engine... I dont want to do that. I was thinking of cutting the seal and putting it in that way and basically hoping it wont leak. what do you guys think?

"Drivetrain" is primarily for tranny and rear axle questions. Let's move this to "LT1 Based Engine Tech".
