BIG cubed LT1 + solid roller cam = Knock sensor go crazy?

A little bit of an issue we need to address:

This is a big cubed LT1 with a solid roller .700+ lift cam. We are expecting 10.60's n/a.

What kind of knock sensor problems are we going to run into? I believe the car is being converted to the LT4 style knock sensor and module. Is this motor going go cause too many vibrations setting off the knock sensor?

Any insight from you fast guys/LT1 gurus out there on this is greatly appreciated.

you need to purchase lt1 edit and you can desencitize the knock sensor in the programing enough to not mess with performance but let you know if something is wrong.

i take that back you need to go to some one that knows what there doing when it comes to the pcm tunning and a stroked engine.

I have a 381 with a mild solid roller, and I don't run a knock sensor..... but then I also don't run the GM PCM. The guys that do my tuning told me that they have not had a lot of luck with the KS and solid rollers. They have looked at some fairly sophisticated filtering systems, with no success.

On the other hand, when this topic has been posted before, I have seen at least one person reply that they run a KS with a solid roller and have absolutely no problems.

Go figure......

Ditto. I ran a solid roller and had to disable the knock sensor completely via tuning, because i was seeing a lot of knock pickup even at idle. Most solid roller people i talk to say they had to do this (yes these are street cars). There are always a few like Fred said that say they use a KS fine with a SR...
