Big block in a TA

I have a 1996 TA vert. Its got 10point cage, full tublar front and rear suspension, fuel system and all the mods that follow. As of right now it has no motor in it. I want to do a big block in it. Just wondering if any of yall had any info on the setup.........I want to go in the 9's NA and 8 on the spray.....Any help will be thankfull. I can get custom headers made for it no problem from a friend. I was thinking of buying a long block from somebody. What do yall think? ANy links?

Thanks......

ps- I would also like to run a motor plate instead of motor mounts......

How can you say its too much trouble if you've never done the conversion. There are several manufactors that make K-members that will allow you to bolt this right up, they even make the trans crossmember for what ever trans you pick. Yes it's alot of work but no more than changing out an LT-1, trans, rear end, k-member etc.. You just make a well thought out plan and decide what parts you want and go from there. Also expect a few trips to the auto parts store (which occurs in any type of engine change). With a well thought out plan and shopping list anything is possible. Plus the power to money ratio makes this an interesting deal.

It's done all the time.
Just takes cubic bucks as everything has to be made for it.
Ya can't get in the 8's with a small block??
Some are doing it regularly.
Put spray on Joe O's car and see how deep into the 8's it will go or Steve Quinn's,or Mindgame.

Re: Big block in a TA

If you do it.... please put a big block in there worth the time to do all this crap.

OVER 800hp NA... other than that it's a waste of time.
