Beware of Route 66 Speed Shop

Purchased a set of 42 lb/hr injectors from Route66SpeedShop via eBay. Supposedly these were new injectors. I visually inspected them and did not notice any problems. I got around on installing them a couple of months later and found out three of the eight injectors were broken (pindles loose, leaking gasoline to the engine bay!) The paint on the leaking injectors came off, another possible indication of refurbished injectors, not new as advertised. I eMailed Route66SpeedShop requesting a new set, that I would return the original set and everything would be fine. Their response was insulting, that I was trying to defraud them. I contacted eBay but my claim time had expired (45 days). I posted a report to eBay anyway. I will report the incident to PayPal also. I will soon provide additional evidence, as I will take the injectors to an injector professional for inspection and testing. Guys, beware of Route66SpeedShop.

Re: Beware of Route 66 Speed Shop

On that note, why is there not a "Bad Seller" or "Bad Guy" subforum for members to list their bad experiences with shady sellers/buyers/forum members?? There was a "Good Guy" and "Bad Guy" subforum on the last forum i was on. Every other car forum i have been on has something like it, and it has helped trememdously. It should be considered in order to forewarn prospective buyers/sellers. It is great for keeping them honest or they will get their rep blasted out in the open. I mean there is NOTHING. Not even a member rating system. This site is a scammers dream, just sayin...

Then use the site suggestion forum. The owners/Admins read that regularly. This isn't really a topic for engine tech.

I posted it in the buyer/seller section, you may remove from the general technical section.
