best Intake Elbows

I found those two, is that last link the 1LE a lot of ppl here have? I don't wanna pay $95 for some intake elbow if I can get another aluminum one for much cheaper. It doesn't really matter if it's polished or not really. In the first link, how about those bottom two? thnx in advance. I just don't wanna blow any more money than is necessary for this part.

Elbow

I have the Vortech non polished elbow on my SS. I have a friend that has the K&N intake system on his. Both work very well. Since mine has the ram air hood I went with the almn. one.

Does anyone know where to get the threaded air temp sensor? I've seen one on a Vortech elbow, but don't know who sells them. BTW... Just bought the polished Vortech from Summit for $94 and IMO it's worth it. VERY bling bling...

FWIW, I have the Trick Flow elbow, which looks very similar to the Vortech model, and it is worth roughly .05 - .07 in the 1/4 mile over the donkey dong stock elbow. One thing I have noticed is that it gets very hot, and I'm thinking that a 1LE type elbow, being made out of rubber, would stay cooler and possibly provide greater performance.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the elbows you mentioned. If it were me, I'd go with the $55 1LE elbow, being cheaper, and IMO, would provide the best performance and a more stock look.

the vortech is aluminum which means it holds heat more than rubber, the vortech is designed for the supercharger system, you have to cut about an 1 inch of it, tap a hole for your iat (or relocate it) also the vortech has a divider in it and a smaller inside diameter than the 1LE.
i vote for ILE

Well, not to be argumentative, but the throttlebody is aluminum, the intake is aluminum, the MAF is aluminum... The inlet was designed for superchargers where the air temps are even more critical. Additionally, the air that passes through that inlet is moving pretty fast. I had the $50 1LE tube and after seeing the polished Vortech, there's no way I wouldn't pay the extra $40 and get the Vortech. I've got the car at Dragonrace Engineering getting the finishing touches and literally everyone who saw the Vortech said they were getting one. JMO...

Personally I would go with the 1LE. The Vortech and Trick Flow are not worth $90.00. The only reason I went with the Trick flow is because of my blower setup.

Of course it's subjective, but everyone who's seen my polished vortech has commented that they can't believe it's ONLY $90. As far as value goes, why spend $50 bucks on the 1LE when you can just yank the donkey **** off the stock unit and plug the hole? The 1LE still has the lower flange for the "dd".

The other problem you eliminate with the metal inlets is the tearing that lots of guys get on end of the stock piece (and the 1LE) where the throttlebody meets the inlet. They are a pain to install if you don't remove the band clamp and tear easily. The Vortech uses much heavier supercharger-type hose for that junction.

a Lt1 intake elbow is just that..u dont need o spend an extra 50 dollars for a "1LE", its not like you'll gain anything..the cheaper oem products is just as good.

Could someone give me the 1LE link for the hell of it please? My stock one is cracked up on the connection to the throttle body. It's on 'ok' for now, but whenever I take it off again it's not gonna be real easy to put back on, plus the air might be leaking out..
