I have the accel 375. It works great for me, no problems with it. I like this unit because it is small and fits under the hood well.

(pic shows my old 300, but new one is the same size)

I'd stick with the major brands, such as Mallory, MSD, and accel. Also, look into what you are going to do in the future. If you are going to spray or boost, get an ignition with timing retard capabilities.

Thanx alot, I plan on going Naturally Aspirated all the way to 10 seconds, I just want the best for my Camaro, I really am leaning towards the new Mallory Ignition. I just want to make sure its good. Mallory has been around for a while so I think I'm going to give it a shot. Thanx again!!

I have an FC-1000 with C-4 Coil from Fire Control Ignitions....formerly Jacobs Electronics. I like it, you can feel a stronger pull up top where the factory setup kind of starts "breaking up". That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Mallory makes a good unit...I use an MSD 6A...it was easy to use and hasn't failed yet...My Accel 300 failed and shut the car off after 5 years..Lingenfelter no longer recommends the Accel...fyi...

Hold up the best ignition on a LT1 would be to do the LT1 to LS1 ignition conversion you would be putting a LS1 ignition on your car and you would still use your optispark but you only use the signal not the high voltage just go to bail-eng.com/ltcc.html to check this out.

Just do a search for LTCC and you'll get all the info you ever wanted on the LS1 coilpack ignition conversion.

Personally I'd never run any of the aftermarket ignition amplifiers on the LT1, they will just cut the life of the opti short. The LS1 coils are the only way to go if you really need an upgrade.
