Great priced for stainless. 3. GREAT SOUNDING. 4. did I mention GREAT SOUNDING? Haha. go with magnaflow, you WILL NOT be disappointed. Also it will last you the lifetime of your car, so you dont have to worry about replacing exhaust. I listened to many camaro's and IMO, Borla and Loudmouth sound like a dump truck, GMMG and B&B are good sounding, but pricey. Then it same down to Hooker or Magnaflow myself. Well I found 2 cars, one magnaflow, one hooker and had them line up side by side. Listened to them both, 1 at a time, and Magnaflow is a deeper sound while the Hooker has more rap to it it than the magnaflow, and the magnaflow got louder then a hooker as the RPM's went up. MAGNAFLOW

Also, the 3 1/2" exhaust tips I though would be took big, but they aren't. They will look great on your Trans Am if you decide to go magnaflow.
hahaha, no no that's Mom and Dad on a budget, c'mon now get serious

Nope. It's called grandparents said they would get me a car when I turn 16 . But I have to pay for all the goodies and everything.

Anyone have any sound clips of the Magnaflow? I'm starting to think twice about the Loudmouth.

How loud is it? Like really loud, close to stock, etc. Basically, will it make people crap themselves when I'm at WOT?

I got mine at 16 and payed for half along with tags and insurance. Anyway I would say Magnaflow or Hooker, for that price range theres really not much more that could match those two setups. I picked magnaflow because of the stainless and the tips. But it depends on your future plans, both of those systems have very high flow numbers but both are fairly quiet if you've got cats and stock manifolds. If this is all you plan to do you might want to look into Loudmouth because it's much much louder. But with no cats it's "pull me over" loud and drones like hell at highway speeds, overall it sounds like sh*t imo.

I've got the SLP loudmouth ... with stock manifolds and cats...sounds unreal....sounds like a baja, scarab, or fountain speed boat at idle and when you get on it....wow....orgasmic you could say....

...I also have the SLP CAI...supposively with this combination people have dynoed an extra 26 rwhp

by the way i picked the LM up used for $100 in perfect shape with the 3" tips instead of the 4" and i got the CAI for $170 shipped...some website was runnin a deal on it...

if you aren't going with headers anytime soon the loudmouth is the meanest thing you can buy...also we have a sound ordinance around here and not once have i been pulled over...knock on wood

SLP LM and SLP CAI

LM sounds like a dumptruck or anyother truck in your town with straight pipes. LM has a "resonater" that doesnt really do anything. So if you want your car sounding like a truck go with LM, but if you want it to sound like a high performance car like it is, go Magnaflow. Nice deep rumble at idle, and at WOT it screams. Inbetween, it gets louder as the RPM's go up

I agree with those that don't like the sound of the LM. While I've only heard 2, neither had a nice sound. Loud, sure, but I wouldn't say that helped.

if you have ever heard the LM on an LT1 or LS1 with stock manifolds and the cats... you would know that its unreal...nothin close to some hillbilly redneck truck...

i will say that the magnaflow sounds good also because i had that on before the LM but there is no way in hell id go back to the magnaflow...

Magnaflow is WAY WAY WAY better than a LM would ever be. LM DOES sound like a redneck's truck. Magnaflow has a "tuned" sound to it, just not a bunch of mangled noises. DUMP TRUCK

there are clips of my car with a magnaflow muffler on it... its sounds good and tuned, i agree...

the LM is the same way just like 3x louder...even with the magnaflow i would get some backfires here and there as you can hear in the clip...face it....the LT1 is a throaty engine...i get backfires here and there with the LM too but not more than id id with the magnaflow

No popping or backfires if you get the 3 inch cat-back. Only twice i have heard a crackle and the exhaust was cold. Go with the cat-back and there is no backfiring or crackle to it.
