Now I talked to a friend, and he said that with a stock intake manifold, the lack of back pressure in this exhaust would actually lower my RWHP. He said I would HAVE to get an intake manifold to get gains. Is he blowing smoke up my ***?

yes he is blowing smoke, secondly my flowmaster catback with pacesetter LTs sounds really really good, now of course there will the bashers who say oh flowmaster sucks it doesnt flow well, where is there proof? flowmaster will probnably be your cheapest bet and it sounds very deep and crisp

Flowmaster will probably be your cheapest, but for a few bucks more you can get a magnaflow...andits WELL worth the diff.

He is blowing more smoke up your *** than an Enron Executive. You dont need a intake manifold to get gains. Just buy the cat back and headers and CAI and all that stuff. Tell that newb to start reading his CamaroZ28.com. Some people...where do they get their information? Import weekly?

Can i see stats showing the loudmouth with better gains? Plus i would appreciate a link to the stats of the exhaust you guys are refering.

Options so far:

Flowmaster --- not stainless steal, Can someone find dyno scores please.
SLP loudmouth -- Stainless steel, not enough back pressure? I would also like too dyno scores, I want low to mid range torque and HP, i bet this doesnt have it.
Hooker - not stainless. Also need dyno scores
MagnaFlow - stainless steel, 14rwhp, 17rwt- comes with free 3" converter 334$ shipped
SLP 2OTL - stainless steel, I would like to see dyno.
I was unawar that any cat back gave you more than 5hp. Is it true that Magnaflow gives you 14hp and 18tq? That seems a little hard to believe.

Most give you close to that. B&B is the highest I have seen with 17rwhp and 42 rwtq.

I use to have flowmaster, and now I have hooker... I love hooker. It is so much better. It has a deep mellow idle and screams when WOT!!! go or it

Well..........everytime I am about to make my decision, someone else chimes in! I too am a poor college student on a budget. Originally for me it was between the SLP and the Hooker. I finally decided on the hooker, but now am hearing the praises about the Magnaflow. Hmmmmm???? The deciding factor may be the dual/dual tips on the hooker, I don't like the look of the single tip on either side of my T/A like the Magnaflow has.

Go with the magnaflow. I am very glad I did, did I also mention I am 16 and on a budget? Lol and just bought some Z06 wheels because I went with magnaflow. A few reasons. 1. Stainless Steel 2. Great priced for stainless. 3. GREAT SOUNDING. 4. did I mention GREAT SOUNDING? Haha. go with magnaflow, you WILL NOT be disappointed. Also it will last you the lifetime of your car, so you dont have to worry about replacing exhaust. I listened to many camaro's and IMO, Borla and Loudmouth sound like a dump truck, GMMG and B&B are good sounding, but pricey. Then it same down to Hooker or Magnaflow myself. Well I found 2 cars, one magnaflow, one hooker and had them line up side by side. Listened to them both, 1 at a time, and Magnaflow is a deeper sound while the Hooker has more rap to it it than the magnaflow, and the magnaflow got louder then a hooker as the RPM's went up. MAGNAFLOW

Also, the 3 1/2" exhaust tips I though would be took big, but they aren't. They will look great on your Trans Am if you decide to go magnaflow.
