It really depends on the sound...hooker, magnaflow, borla can all be had on ebay for less than 400...borla's are really hard to find that cheap but I saw one go for 38x plus shipping...I got my magnaflow for 250 shipped...

If the SLP 2OTL is under $400, I vote that. Great catback and sounds like heaven.

3" stainless steel and a great tone...cant beat it for the price...

(unless you get a custom exhaust fabricated at a shop for less than half the price )

id say its one of the best off-the-shelf catbacks for the price...

Hooker, no contest. SLP is too much money for just pipes and a resonator, but the LM guys will tell you different.

Heres what I am thinking about. It is stainless steel and that is a big thing with me(stainless=durability). And it has proven 14 rwh, 18 rwt gain. And it comes with a 3" converter for 334 shipped! (MagnaFlow) LIFETIME warantee http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2467842235
Can i see stats showing the loudmouth with better gains? Plus i would appreciate a link to the stats of the exhaust you guys are refering.

Options so far:

Flowmaster --- not stainless steal, Can someone find dyno scores please.
SLP loudmouth -- Stainless steel, not enough back pressure? I would also like too dyno scores, I want low to mid range torque and HP, i bet this doesnt have it.
Hooker - not stainless. Also need dyno scores
MagnaFlow - stainless steel, 14rwhp, 17rwt- comes with free 3" converter 334$ shipped
SLP 2OTL - stainless steel, I would like to see dyno.

I just installed a Magnaflow a couple of months ago. Build quality is top notch, sounds very nice, it looks and fits great - even the clamps are stainless! For $330ish, it's a heck of a deal. For that kind of price, there's no point in going aluminized..

Do the magnaflow for the price, but I still like the 2OTL.

If you want to sound like everybody else that bought inexpensive cat-backs, get Hooker. Nice system, and pleasant sounding.

I would suggest the SLP TOTL (can be had for dirt cheap used), or a used Borla (again, cheap if found used). Both are nice systems too, and have their own distinctive sound. The build quality of the Borla is second to none.

If you look around Ebay carefully and wait for a good deal, you can have the Magnaflow for $260.
Ion (Madwolf) has some clips of his Z, and it sound PRICELESS!

Best catback for the money imo is either Hooker, or Magnaflow. The Magnaflow is Stainless Steel which is very nice. But i liked the sound of the Hooker catback better then the Magnaflow. So i went with the Hooker. For dyno #'s between the 2 i would imagine it would be very very simular.

If your interested, let me know. AIM/AOL: rathershort EMAIL:RatherShort@comcast.net

Its been on the car for like 6 months. I'm going with true duals when I install my headers. Should be doing it next week end. As soon as it comes off its all yours.
