Best cams....

So, overall, what would you say are the best cams? I want to purchase a cam that is powerful, yet affordable. I don't want a huge cam that will affect my gas mileage drastically, b/c my car is a daily driver.

Also, will the K&N FIPK intake produce better gas mileage? I have heard it will, and if it can produce more air flow, more hp, and better gas mileage, $189 seems like a pretty good deal.

What kind of goal are you look for? 1/4 mile time or even horsepower wise? Hotcam is pretty common cam so is comp's 305 which shouldn't guzzle to much gas.

For a basically stock car, I'd consider the CC305 or Hot cam. The Hot cam kit can be a decent bargain given that it comes with springs, retainers, keepers, and roller rockers. BTW: you need to upgrade the springs if you are upgrading the cam.
