bellhousing help

all right I just got my transmition out and started to take the bellhousing off but it wont move. I took all 6 bolts out, and tryed to prey it with a crow bar and it still wont move. Could it be just stuck or is there a bolt That I dont see. I just dont want to break the bellhousing.

My bad, I misread your post, I thought it was still in the car. When I did my clutch I never pulled the bell housing, but I would assume that you could pry on it. There's no sealing surfaces right?

From what I remember, nothing seals to it, it's just there to basically encompas the clutch and to hold the tranny to the engine. I would check for a gasket hanging out, if there are none (which I don't think there are) pry away.

From my memory, and looking at a picture I took of the bell housing, there are 8 bolts that hold it to the engine. Might explain why you are having a problem.
