my mother has a 94 trans am.. 88,000 miles.. when you crank the car nothing weak battery starts to turn over and then just clicks.. when you jump it off it runs fine.. you can turn the stereo up do whatever you want except the volt meter reads sparatically.. sometimes it will be like 14 volt.. other times it will peg the meter almost. but we replaced the battery and it started working fine.. cranking every time a week later it wont crank again.. replaced the battery again.. worked for bout two weeks.. then quit again.. we are on the 3rd battery now and its doing the same thing.. only thing i can think of is possibly the voltage regulator gone bad??? but what would explain the dead battery.. cuz if you turn the car right off and try to crank it back instantly the batterys dead again.. but what would explain that the car runs fine once jumped off??/? maybe bad connections to battery from alternator.. maybe the car is running off the alternator once jumped off but doesnt charge the battery cuz bad connection??
