Down on power and popping

My car feels weak. I left work the other night and my car felt like it was dragging an anchor. It popped once and has been weak ever since. Starts and idles perfect. Plugs are a week old and so are the O2s. No fire jumping under the hood no codes stored. If anymore info is needed, just ask. I need to get this fixed. Where should I look first?

I think more info is going to be needed to pin point this prob. Just off the top of my head it sounds like its being starved for air or fuel. Check the smallest things first like the fuel psi, air filter, and maybe a cloged converter ........just my 2 cents
BTW very nice car.....a good friend of mine just got a 86 trans am

Thanks for the compliment. Fuel is 45 PSI, air filter is clean(so is MAS) and no cat. EGR is blocked. No emissions equipment of any kind.

I am going to pull some plugs tomorrow and look at them. I am going to change the plug wires. I am going to check resistance at the coil.

I changed plugs and wires today and it is running great. I had one terminal on the opti that had some rust on it. What causes this? I will probably change it when I get some money. I went with Autolite plugs this time to try something new. The TR55s weren't lasting. I relashed my valves to make sure they were right and found a lifter that seems a little weak. I guess that will be next weeks project.

putting some dielectric grease on the terminals will ensure a good connection and keep water out which will cause rust on the terminals

I put some on the terminals of the new wires. They are cheap parts store wires, but they will do until I can afford to do an otvc setup. The MSDs were apparently bad somehow. They weren't arcing, but I will measure resistance tomorrow.
