basic tire question

Ok my car was orignaly 235/55r16 but i got 245/50s now and was wondering what psi everyone thought i should be running them at. For the 235's the door sticker says 30psi, the tire place that mounted the tires said 35psi for normal, 40 for performance. They filled them up to 40 but i wanted the boards opinion. What are the advantages of a lower/higher psi? These are pilot sports by the way.

enerytime I go into the tire shop they rise the tire psi to 40. IMO, it is way to high. The car dances all over the road. I run 30 psi with even tire wear.

I run w/ 32 psi. No other reason then it's just what I've always run.

No issues.

Me too.

32psi........

If you go by what it says on the tire - you can't go wrong.
