Re: balancer removal ?

I usually just unbolt the 3 bolts and pull it off by hand.

Re: balancer removal ?

Any puller (3-jaw or otherwise) will work. Every parts store known to man carries something that will work.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones; now if I can just get my optisparks to stay together I will be good. Spray some pb blaster before you put the puller on it; it should help cut some of the rust, it should come right off with the puller shbox posted up. Don't hammer on it too much; I would avoid that method. Maybe you could clean it, sand it and put some paint on it so that rust doesn't build up.

Re: balancer removal ?

You're not trying to pull the hub off the crankshaft are you? Just unbolt the balancer from the crank hub.
