Do you want to start over? That makes no sense. 2:05 a. m.-maybe your mind was not clear.

Give details on exactly what you did.

Re: Balance hub = broken

you know you needed to use a socket in the middle of the hub. The socket is used so that the puller press on the crank, not the hub. The hub has a lip in the middle around the front of the crank. So, when you used the puller you were just pressing against the hub.

Re: Balance hub = broken

I have a brand new hub that I never used. I bought a new balancer that had the hub with it and it was keyed so I have no use for it. It is for 95 and older cars.$10 plus shipping and you can have it. If you are interested just PM me and I'll give you my phone number.

Yea I would be willing to bet thats what you did too. It took me a while to get that thing off when I did my cam swap. The best thing to do is use a 1/4" drive extension and push off that with the puller.

Re: Balance hub = broken

OK I got it off and i am ever so proud of myself (and my friend) we sawzalled the hub off before the snout of the crank so the timming cover would clear. Then we removed the timming cover and used a 3 jaw puller to pull the crank sprocket and what remained of the hub off.
