bad blowby?
so i have a 93 lt1 z28 and i notice there oil in throttle body and coming out the gromet seal on pass valve cover....is there a good way to fix this? could i eliminate this set up? could i use a breather insted of the hose?... would really like some help plz and thank you
Re: bad blowby?
The real fix is to eliminate the blowby (probably engine overhaul). A leakdown test should tell you where you stand. A catch can is used by some that don't have excessive engine wear.
Re: bad blowby?
I'd recommend a leakdown test, as Rob/Shoebox suggested, before jumping to the conclusion it needs to be rebuilt. They can run 200,000 miles without a rebuild, with proper maintenance.
