So what kind of RPM were you turning at the finish line with your set-up and the Yank?

Using an RPM calculator at a ~119 trap I should be around 6350 RPM through the traps with 4.11's and a 26" tire. Not sure how accurate that would be?

Not sure how accurate the stock tach is and I'm bad at gauging the exact moment I cross the traps.

Stock tacks are a little high compared to aftermarket. Sounds to me like you need a small shot (50hp) of nitrous to help your 60ft. and RPM at the finish. Yeah, yeah, yeah, who am I to hand out suggestions on a sweet car like yours.

Mine is 200rpm's high at idle but dead on in the upper RPM's. BTW I fixed your quote.

I bet you are crossing closer to 6,500rpms or more with those short tires and a little converter slippage. my car ran 120mph, crossed @ 6,200 with 3.42's and 26" tires. I plan on trying the 4.10/26" combo with my new setup if it can cross before the 7k limiter. Later Clint

Clint, sounds fair enough, I figured TC slip came into play when determining crossing RPM, just wasn't sure how much

Cool, just try to log a run or check the tach when youre crossing b/c I would like to know what rpm your crossing at too. I know it has to be pretty high and if my car runs like I plan it won't cross with 26" tires on motor or even on 28's with the n2o but we will find out next month hopefully. You plan on spraying yours any? Later Clint

I'll try to see if I can log a run next time I go out Clint

I'm gonna try to go N/A 10's first, then I might spray her. This cam might pull past 7000 for all I know, maybe I can push it to 7200 for a little more room for spray on a 28" tire? I have a 9" so i can always throw another 3rd member in for spray runs with a little less gear in the future.

Thanks and if you decide to spray it then you could go with 3.55's/26" tires, thats what my car ran 9.80's with. Goodluck Later Clint

Cam specs are private/custom, LE3 cam. More intake duration, but less exhaust duration than a GM847, with more lift.

My LE2 heads flow:

.2 139/109
.3 192/142
.4 241/170
.5 269/184
.6 274/195
.650 275/198

I see some things on your combo that are a tad less than ideal for a true drag car.....Don't take it the wrong way, what I mean by saying that is that combo has alot left in it. Not sure how much street driving you do.....But it looks like a really nice combo.

I have been really wanting to do something similar with my 97........IT SUCKS not being able to drive my car on the street.

If you ran a taller tire and make some other changes( but I would not do them if I was you) you could really get a half second out of that car.

Great set-up and props to The LE team.
