back to changing plugs *AGAIN*

posted it once before . Still no fixes after 500 miles

94 lt1 mods in sig
Every 500 (avg) I have slighlty fouled plugs that get worse from there
Car when its running may see 100-miles a week. Alittle track, alittle cruise.
I've tried autolites, NGK's tr6's gapped at .05 and tried .045. Same technique on tr55's. All new MSD wires, MSD coil. New opitcrap, new coolant temp in W.Pump. Cleaned MAF, cleaned Throttle body. Fuel is good. I'm going nuts. I have parts I sooooo bad want to install, but won't til this is fixed permenatly.

Has it been tuned or just programmed with a box---fouling plugs may be a result of unburned fuel, i.e, too rich. You could try a MSD ignition to ensure good spark, but I'm sensing you are just too rich. I'm certain someone else will be able to help you.

I would probably get the car scanned and see what it is doing. You shouldn't be going through plugs every 500 miles.

was scanned, no codes. plugs are heavy black soot around lower ring that connects to electrode. tip is still clean. I believe a hypertech was used. Previous owner did it. I will be putting a scan to check A/F after I swap plugs. Darn I hate this...LOL

First thing i think of with fouled plugs is rich. Second thing i think of is O2 sensors
Getting a scanner on it when its warmed up and running. You'll probably see a Lazy o2 or something.

Also check for loose manifold bolts. An exhaust leak can throw off your o2 readings too.

Burnaby ...sweet, Home province for me (Prince Rupert)
Swapped in new O'2's last time around. Wiring harness was close to header, and melted plastic sheath. I do have bolts that come loose so tommorrow I'll be swapping plugs again, checking the header bolts. This weekend I'll be running a scan on mixture.

Was the wiring inside the harness damaged at all?
