Autotap

What do you guys think ? Anyone have it ? To me it appears to be worth it to have the ability to look at multiple sensors parameters live and be able to check and clear codes..Let me know what yoou guys think...

Anything that allows you to log the PCM parameters and analyze the data will help you keep your engine in better operating condition and maximize its performance. AutoTap is pretty much the standard for OBD-II applications... I use it for my 2001 Silverado. There is also a system available from OBD-2.com, and Auterra makes a system that runs on the Palm.

You might want to look over my online scanner guide, then review the online scanner data interpretation writeup.

Unfortunately, model numbers and links are changing constantly, and I haven't updated the scanner guide in more than a year, so some of the info might be a little out of date.

Cool

I love my AutoTap. Got the version that runs on both notebook and Palm. Can scan car using Palm and then transfer to notebook. Nice scan tool to have.

Thanks guys...also is the pc version the same as the pda af far as options and what you can monitor ect ? I was thinking a pda would be easier to use in the car than a laptop..
