ati balancer lt4 block lt1 accessories...help

I need some help guys ... i have been working on my car forever and a day and i finally got in running but i keep eating up belts. The car still has a/c on it but it an lt4 block with all the lt1 accessories out of my original 95 camaro. I am suspect that the ati balancer isnt lining up right. I called ati and they said it might be a timing chain difference. They recomend to machine the hub to fit. Before i do this i want to confirm that someone on here has run into the same issue before. i dont want to ruin my 400 dollar balancer FYI the ati balancer part # is 917271 and the motor is out of a corvette and i have installed all accessories from the 95 camaro. i never tried any of this with the stock hub/balancer.

Lay a straight edge across the balancer and see if it lines up with the other pulleys.

By "LT4 block" appears you mean its a 1996 Corvette LT4 engine. There is no such thing as an "LT4 block" - they used a standard, 4-bolt LT1 block to build the LT4 engine. The LT4 crank is different, but not the snout.

I thought the Corvette had a different length hub than the F-Body engine, and the ATI application chart shows there is a different hub for the LT1 and LT4 engine Corvette engines. You need to get the hub for an F-Body/LT1.

Then there's the issue of the 96 having a CKP reluctor behind the hub, and your 95 not requiring a CKP reluctor. I think ATI supplies a spacer to fill the gap.

ok thanks guys .. yeah i meant 96 corvette lt4 4 bolt main block in my 95 camaro ... I dug out the ati box from almost a year ago and got the spacer in and it took care of everything .. I am normally very detail oriented but i guess the stress of finishing my project is getting to me ... Oh yeah i know i dont post much here but without this site and all the information it has on it I think i would be lost.. Thanks for everything. Oh yeah for being 32 and finally getting to build the hotrod i wanted in highschool this has been alot of fun !!! Scoots along pretty good...
