Does the slip protection system affect throttle response? I have a 97z and it seems like it just doesnt respond like it should compared to my friends car who does not have slip protection.

 

Obviously, if it's off there should be NO difference. Except of course that no two cars are exactly the same, and many things effect how your car "feels".
At the least you need to do a short side by side run. One will be slower but it shouldn't be four or five car lenths in a block either.
