Bought Manual Fan Switch need help!

So I purchased the manual fan switch by SLP and installed it no problem. Where I ran into trouble is that my car still goes to about 210 degrees even with the fan on high. I havent put the shroud etc etc under my bumper yet because Im waiting for some clear corners to come in tomorrow. Do you think that once I get the shroud on with the plastic deflector that directs air to my radiator it will run cooler? Also If I turn my switch on high when i turn on my car will it keep the temp from getting too high? Any help will be greatly aprreciated, lemme know what I can do to troubleshoot.

you DEFINATELY need to put the air dam back on, thats the only thing from the factory that actually keeps our cars cool

Does it only run hot when you're driving or does it run hot if you let it sit as well?

Running hot when moving usually means an air flow issue.
Running hot when sitting usually means a coolant issue or fan issue, but you said the fans are on high.

The key reason why the air dam (fan shroud is the plastic housing which has the fans already mounted) is there is because the front fascia of the 4th gen. f-body has absolutely no access to air from the front. All the air for the radiator has to come from underneath.

ooo...ok gotcha, well it runs about 215 while sitting (without shroud and air dam) and about 210 on the highway, both having the fans on high, but ill have the air dam and shroud back on today so we will see if its an air getting to radiator issue or coolant issue. (BTW I used my coolant checker and it says my coolant is fine so we will see.) Thanks for the info regarding the plastic pieces because I never really knew how important they were. Thanks!

Then I guarantee it's not the air dam that's causing it to overheat. Sounds like it was overheating before you put the fan switch in. Try bleeding the system. Try flushing the coolant. Summer is coming up, so you can use 50/50 water/coolant or even more water with some water wetter. Down here that's all some people use, no coolant. Check to make sure your thermostat operates properly.
