I am trying to get as much tire with out have the rubbing issues as the tire grows. I have heard 28's will rub. Anyone try these tires?

I've run the 28x11.5-15 QTP's, with minimal problems. I found they just started to contact the front sheetmetal on the wheel opening when trap speeds went over 120MPH. I just moved the axle back 1/4" with adjustable LCA's and the problem went away. There is some minor contact on the rubber bumper cover, but that eventually "radiuses" the opening.

I dont have the adjustable lower control arms. So I quess I will go with the 27". But thanks for the input.

The QTP's are nice and sticky... I never had a traction problem at the 635HP level. I was very close to 1.5X 60' times, but it was my convertor that was limiting me, not traction. I just switched to 28x10.5-15W ET Drags so I could launch (hopefully) at 5Krpm on a 300-shot.... . The "W"s are huge.... the rubber bumper cover required fairly extensive surgery, and the inner fenders, already hammered for 315/35's, took a few more whacks with a 3# hammer.
