Well, guys, let's stick a fork in it 'cause it's done.

My new Dart Pro1 180cc were delivered by FedEx this morning. I plan to take them over to Dennis Wells Racing next week to have them flowed because I need those numbers to give to Bryan at PCMFORLESS who's going to reprogram my PCM.

Compared to the 212cfm the stock heads are reported to flow, I'll see a nice enough power improvement.

I've been following a GMHTP 355 build up using the same Dart heads, out of the box, and so far they've hit 459 HP on the engine dyno with a relatively mild XFI cam - something like 224/230 on 113s. That's plenty for my purposes.

Sure, I could have the heads ported, stuff in a slightly wilder cam, fool with the intake and exhaust and end up at 500, but that was never my plan. Gotta stick to the plan.

So now I can direct my efforts to camshaft selection. I'm still looking at Comp's CRC lobes which'll give me right at .600 valve lift with Scorpion 1.7s on 7/16" studs.

Now, I'm just considering what LSA to have it ground on and what intake/exhaust duration split I'll go with.

Ain't this fun!! Yea, I'm a homework addict but, hey, I really love doing all this stuff; it's better than sex.

Well, no, not really, LOL

Post up your results from the flow sheet, are you going to have the intake/exhaust runners cc'd?

Sure, I'll post the flow numbers. I hadn't thought about having the ccing done, but I might as well.

From what I've read, I can expect the intakes to measure out in the high 180s; last specific numbers I saw were 189.8cc.

One guy on dartheads.com posted his checked at 191, then there was a big broo-haha about why are they advertised as 180s and check larger than that. I believe the moderator shut down that thread.

That be a nice choice of cam for that motor. very idle stable and will make a ton of power up to 6200 rpm

GMHPT mag had a torque dip that recovered. They theorized that a tighter LSA would eliminate that.

So, what are your thoughts on the LSA?

Thanks for the feed-back.

I just checked and the torque drop began about about 3000/3100 and didn't recover to that point until 3800/3900.

LT1's like tight lsa. throw that cam on a 110-111 and that motor will wake up.

You could even do 218/224 xfi on a 110 and make good power
