Anyone know where I can find a replacement remote for my car?

I lost my set of keys Friday night which had the one remotes I owned for my Z attatched to them . Ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find them.

Anyone know where I can get a set of replacement remotes for cheap? The cars a 95 Z28. If I cant find any cheap, I may just purchase an alarm for my car. (probably a good idea since I go to school in Baltimore)

Thanks

Dealers are going to charge you an arm and a leg for them.

Lucky for you, GM made them pretty standard throughout their models.

There are a bunch on e-bay:

There is a procedure for reprogramming them. I can post it when I get home but it is probably on the board somewhere.

Try keylessride.com. I got mine for $39 and it only took a couple days. It comes with instructions on how to reprogram the computer to accept the remote.

I am using one from a 95 Thunderbird for my 95 Camaro. They are pretty much all made by TRW so as long as it comes from an OBD1 vehicle you should be able to program the car to accept it no matter which model it came from and they are pretty easy to find cheap on Ebay.
