Anyone know if Tuned Port intake will clear on LT1 F-bodies

Thinking of modifying one with dual length runners but probably would go some other route if the stock TPI manifold won't fit in the '93 up F-bodies.
Thanks, Michael.

I don't know if it would clear the hood but why would you want to run a tpi intake. All the TPI guys are running lt1 style intakes like the HSR.

You would have to have the TPI base converted to match the bolt pattern of the LT1 heads, including the different bolt angle. Then you would have to have the TPI coolant connections welded up. Not sure how you handle the thermostat housing. The distributor hole would need to be plugged.

Easiest way to check for clearance, since I seriously doubt anyone has actually bolted one to an LT1 engine would be to find a TPI engine and measure the height of the intake. There's always things like cowl hoods, hacking the cowl, etc. to make added clearance.

See below for correct link. I believe what you are looking for is there. It is an aftermarket TPI intake that has been modified to fit the LT1. Price is right and all the hard work has been done to fit. You can then run a distributor and get rid of the opti.

It should fit, there was a 94 Firehawk at HPE with a TPI SBC swap, why I have no clue, but I believe it had the stock hood Firehawk hood.

Accel or Lingenfelter I guess it is makes a Superram base for the LT1, they're a little on the rare side but you should be able to run it with little trouble. I think you can then run the superram plenum/runners or factory style long tube runners on that base with little modification, however seems to me the superram should be about what you're looking for right out of the box . There was a article on here of a LT1 buildup with that base and the rest of the superram setup.
