Anyone have trouble with Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulators

I had a few injectors acting up so today I installed a set of SVO 24 LB injectors and A Aeromotive Adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I checked the fuel pressure and it was over 60. I tried a few things not to help. I reinstalled my old one and it read 46 LB like before. I am just checking to see if anyone else has had this happen.

Thanks
Mark

Oh P.S. car runs do much better with all 8 firing

I bought an Aeromotive AFPR and it was pure junk. It is probably one of the worst fitting and functioning items that I have ever owned. The fit was horrible and when I did finally get it installed it wouldn't hold pressure correctly. I removed it and reinstalled the stock regulator. It was amazing how easy the stock regulator was to install. It only took about 5 minutes to reinstall after pulling the Aeromotive. Luckily I bought it from Summit and they took it back no questions asked and gave me a full refund.

You might want to try a "search"... seems like someone has a problem with an Aeromotive AFPR at least once a month.

Car had a miss at idle and high rpm. In the last week I had a opt and water pump installed and I installed Wires ( Plug done a month ago) Injectors, Coil and Ignition module. All helped, but injectors helped the most. Car has over 150,000 miles.

for 219.00 for a set I am happy

Statistically speaking, at least one of them has to work, I guess.

When you upgrade to larger injectors say 32 or 36Lbs. (with a reprogram), can you still use the stock FPR? Also, as far as quality and horsepower handling cap.. How does the stock FPR do?

Mine popped last year on the highway. Diaphram or whatever let go. Fuel pressure shot up on the brand new build and washed the rings out. I had to pull the motor and rering and bearing it this winter because of the piece of crap. Aeromotive FPR =

Yes, you can use larger injectors with a stock regulator. As long as you can supply fuel to the motor in the volume that it needs, the stock regulator will keep the pressure constant. I believe Rich (rskrause) made 700 hp on a stock regulator.
