My poly mounts fit just fine.... after futzing around Where was your problem??? It was kind of a pain getting everything lined up, but I'd have the same problem with the stock rubber mounts (although with a little more give I suppose it might be slightly easier)

Man, that solid tranny mount sounds HARSH! There's no way something's going to get messed up by running the poly one.
Seriously, how much to you think the back of tranny moves up and down with a poly mount? I mean, think of a number. 0.05"? 0.1"? I'd say that's too small to even matter!

I installed all poly mounts when I put in my cam because I wanted to make sure I could feel it.

I just got my motor back in and running, and I'm having some serious probs with the y-pipe hitting a floorbrace under the seat, and my motor torques up so that the header hits my steering knuckle and locks the wheel up under acceleration. I'm beginning to get really pissed. Hoping for some kind of advice here. I don't want that motor to budge. Thanks.
Someone has to have tried just 1 solid mount on the drivers side. I want to run poly's on the rest. Anyone? Opinions? Comments? Suggestions?

It's not going to hurt anything to run one solid mount. It's just going to make it to where that side will never sag. It will cost more than running both solid unless you can find somewhere that will sell them individually. I have solid motor mounts, and they took a little getting used to. Several of my vents on my dash rattle as well as the passenger side air bag cover. I'm used to it now, but maybe one day when I get bored I will do something about it. Personally, I think running one solid and one poly(or stock for that matter) is a good idea. It will hold the motor up on the driver's side and hopefully fix your problem while still allowing the motor to move which should reduce vibrations. Unless you're having problems with the passenger side hitting, you should be fine leaving the rubber mount(assuming you still have rubber mounts). That may save you a little money, and it should still hold fine. Good luck with it.

Awesome. That's what I was thinking, but just wanted a second opinion. I'll be running a solid driver mount, a poly pass mount and trans mount. Eventually, I may switch to all solids but this is my daily driver for the moment, so I don't want all the rattles, etc. Thanks for the advice!

No problem. I wouldn't mind checking out your car some time. I'm down in the Atlanta area every so often, and after finals are over this week I'll be in the Chattanooga area until August. Let me know if you'd want to meet up sometime.

I don't know, but this is quoted directly from TCI's website.

5. Never use a solid transmission mount in any circumstance. This WILL cause the case to crack because it is not designed to be a stressed member of the chassis.
