Anybody use this set-up

A guy at work asked me to rebuild his lt-1,I asked if i could try something with it he said sure.IT better run though.Anyway heres my idea,A 374 c/i lt1.

IT use's a.

40 over block
3.65 stroke crank
either 5.7 or 6 inch rods

I think it would be best of both worlds between a 355 and 383.
Should make great tq and turn a little rpm,On a hp program I used it should make around 550,with a converative build.

40 over is pushing it on an LT1 blkock and will leave nothing for a future rebuild. I think you will also need a custom piston for this combo. I'd say go with the typical 383 or 396.

A 396 is a 040 bore with 3.875 stroke.Which I think is to much stress on the pistions, plus it puts the pin to far up in ring lands.imo
