man, you don't want to buy a new PCM. they are not cheap. i'd try to find one on here or go to a junkyard. they should have a lot of them around.

If you are tal;king about the Main Computer Module(black box on the pass side of fender well)

part # 16188051 94-95 (contains e-prom that must be programmed at dealership)

That becomes basically a false statement, IF a person purchases a used pcm and has access to either Tunercat or LT1 Edit. The pcm can then be (re)programmed without the assistance of a dealership employee.

Right. The important thing is that it comes new without any programming.

It was correct when it was written. No one ever had thought of LT1_edit or TunerCat.

What happens when you add their shipping to that? $175?

Make some contact with Bryan at pcmforless.com. I bet he can give you some guidance and maybe even provide you with a cheap pcm.

For Sale

Check the "For Sale" section for OBD-I PCMs. There is usually a few listings. PCMforless charges $75 for a core.

Or you can go to a junk yard and pick up a pcm out of a 94-95 Caprice for about $25-50 and have some one refash it with a stock program. Just make sure the PCM #'s match (16188051) or it will not work with your application. HTH
