Anybody ever got faster by changing to a 255 fuel pump?

I think my fp is droping 2 much in the last half of the 1/4 so i was interested to see if anyone else had any problems with fp and got any gains with a new bigger pump. Thanks Alan

Only if you were dropping pressure at higher rpms like you stated..Means you are leaning out up top which isnt good..Bigger FP doesnt give you hp..it just ensures you have enough for the air coming in so it holds a good fuel pressure..

Have you verified you're losing pressure with a gauge? I would probably do that before going through the hassle of installing a pump. Starting with a new fuel filter is also recommended

i think my fuel rails are draining out at high rpms.
I cant run my n2o because its surging. I think the fpss is cutting off the fuel. i just put in a new filter a few weeks ago. i put a gauge on it 2 day but cant tell anything about high rpms. i already bought the pump so i guess it wan't be a bad thing 2 put it on, and then i hope i will be able 2 run a 150 shot. I am going 2 get it dynotuned in the next few weeks as soon as get the pump in. Alan

Kinda off subject, but what did you run on the 224/236. I've been looking at this cam for awhile but not many people run it. Thanks

I had a 224/236 about 2 years ago and ran 12.5@111 - on stock heads... 11.4@120 w/ a 100 shot.
