Anybody else have problems with OTVC wires?

The set of MSD cut-to-fit 8.5mm wires I just installed in my 96 WS6 are arching like crazy. Has anyone else had any trouble with the cut to fit wires? I really dont want to buy another set if I am just going to have the same problems. So am I better off just going with the pre-made wires in stock locations?? OTVC is much better for not burning wires, but like I said if this is a recurring problem I dont want to mess with it.

I used the Elite wires with the heat shields and I have not had any arching. They are the best addition that I have made to the car. I woudn't go back to stock wires/locations. Do a search on OTVC wires on this site and you will get a wealth of data regarding your problem.

I haven't had any issues with mine arcing (other than having internal engine issues causing enough resistanct to MAKE them arc), on either car.

I never had any problems with mine. What kind of headers are you running? I had the SLP and they didn't even come close to touching. I did have to make my own wires though.

I have Hooker LT's and the MSD 8.5 wires that you fit your self and I havn't had any problems.
I did how ever get some fiberglas protector sleves from Taylor (50.00) to put over my plug boots just for insurance, works well.

I just installed the Taylor OTVC wires and bought the Taylor 2000* boot protectors from someone on here and just slipped them to the last 6" of the wire by the header so even if it does touch (which it isn't near doing so) it can rest on it all day long

I am using msd make your own OTVC wires. No arcing. I was ****, however, and put the wires in tubing and taped them up all the way to the first hanger. Then I have jegs firesleeve things on the boots too. I was super **** at install, becuase I have had taylors, GM, and MSDs arc all over. This seems to be the best I have found so far.
