Any1 buy just the MSD cap/rotor?
My dist is still good and I need a cap/rotor. All of the screws in my dist broke off while removing the cap. Does the MSD cap/rotor come with new screws?
You're sure the brearing in the back 1/2 of the Opti is still good? You're sure teh optical sensor isn't experiencing rust particle buildup from a rusting bearing retainer plate? You're sure the seal around the harness wire tower is not dried out? How about the seal between the back 1/2 and the plastic spacer/housing?

I got the MSD cap and rotor kit on my 95 T/A. Installed early last year, went on a 1300 mile round trip last Thanksgiving, so far no issues. Probably have around 6k on it since install. Right now she's in storage.
MSD kit comes with new hardware, phillips head screws for everything. As mentioned earlier, it adds an extra (5th) screw and a aluminum block for the extra mount hole (top) on the cap assembly. During your install, be extra careful not to over tightened the rotor screws, they are very small. Broke one of mine, luckily I still had my original rotor screws and used those in place of the MSD pieces, so far so good (knocking on wood).
The rest of my opti looked good, no rust seen, bearing felt solid and no play. Stock cap just went dead on the number one cylinder.
Good luck with your install if you decide on the MSD cap/rotor kit.
Allan.
