Any random LT1 knowledge out there?

Anyone have any random or useless knowledge about the LT1 from working on it so much? Oil filter number, torque spec, kind of bolt, routing of wires etc?

Since Ive been under the hood so much I know some randomestuff, for example on the starter the two bolts that hold the wires are 13mm and 8mm.

What about you guys?

For the panhard bar, the stupid bolt-head is 21mm, and the stupid nut is 18mm.

Why stupid? Because it snapped in half after refusing to come out with anything less than 450psi of air-wrenching mayhem.

Once out, they looked like they were from a 50 yr old car that had been sleeping in a lake!

I keep a roll of duct tape, and 9/16-1/2-5/8-3/8 wrenches in the glove box.

I think the commonest fastener you have to deal with is 10mm.

On the underside of the A4 console shift quadrant indicator, it shows the rear end gear code (GU2 and GU5) and the indicator markings that match it (PRNDL2 and PRND21). Overdrive (OD) is not shown.

Inide the oil filter housing on the block is a hole for Dumbas$%^ who don't change their oil filters often enough. Your dirty oil just bypasses the filter and runs through your motor. I plugged mine forcing the oil through the filter.

You can push in on the left side of the firewall to have easier access to the bell-housing to motor bolts for removal.
