any pics of the brake booster
any pics of the brake booster
just wanting to use the vacuum line so I can use some seafoam. Any pics will be greatly appreciated. I looked on shoebox's site but didn't see it
Re: any pics of the brake booster
I can try to explain it, ON the drivers hand side, of the bay, the brake booster line is connected to the firewall. The brake master cylinder is also attached to it. It has a long black hose going off of it that you can pull off while the car is off.
Pull that hose off, start the car and cover it with your finger a second so it can make a vacuum and start running. Pour half the bottle in and then either let the car die or turn it off. Let it sit 15 minutes and beat the hell out of it for about 5 minutes, and you can smoke out friends garages if they are out.

Re: any pics of the brake booster
i little more of an explaination: The brake booster is the big round black donut looking thing that the master cylinder is bolted to. The vacume hose comes from the drivers side of the intake manifold to the booster. It is a hose that is about 3/4-1 inch wide. Pretty hard to miss
Re: any pics of the brake booster
In this picture, look in the upper right corner. There is a squiggly hose that runs from the center of the intake manifold (the red part), over the rear corner of the driver's side valve cover (the shiny black part) and behind the brake master cylinder (the white plastic container with the black screw on top). That's the vacuum hose for the power brake booster.
