Any ideas why the pushrods are scoring?

On the way to work one of the pushrods broke. The ball end was ripped off. I'm not sure why. They were heat tread pushrods CCA-7808-16 . I am also using comp cam mag rr 1.6 CCA-1418-16. There is scoring between the rr and the ball end of the pushrod. I'm using Isky spings D235.

Is it possible that the spring pressures are to high for this type of pushrod?

Scoring where on the rocker? Pics would help. Perhaps in the rod cup of the rocker? Reads like the valve train may be too lose.

the scoring was on the end of the pushrod and in the cup of the rr.

more than likely rockers are adjusted too loosely.

I talked a tec at Jegs. I went over my set up with him, it looks like the spring are too high for these pushrods. The spring are rated for 350 lds and closed they are 130 lds. The pushrods I was using are rated at the same 350 lds. On top of that, I am running 1.6 and not the stock 1.5 rrs. Which, is pushing the limits of these pushrods.
