Another Newb question

I just had my oil changed yesterday...mechanic said nothing about milky oil, water in the oil, etc... They checked the coolant, which was fine, good level, had not broked down, etc.

Car runs fine (except for IAC issue), does not smoke, burn coolant, starts on first crank, etc....

The engine doesn't overheat.

EXCEPT: today I took the oil fill cap off and there were a few drops of WATER on the inside of the cap and just inside the oil fill tube. Pulled the dipstick, which looked fine...wasn't milky or rust colored. I smelled the water, and it's definitely water...it's not slippery or sticky, does not smell like coolant, just water.

I got the car out of storage last week, it had been sitting for 6 months or so while I was overseas. It is also real cold here now (0 F)...

Please tell me this is just condensation that built up from sitting...I really haven't driven the car for more than a half hour at a time.

Smells like water huh?

I wouldn't be worried about it at all. If anything it's just condensation...

Check the PCV valve.... that helps remove the condensible vapors from the crankcase.

Run the car for 40 minutes or so until the valve covers get hot and then check the cap, most of the water will be gone.
