Ok If I remember we only moved mine out .100 or so. Will be interesting to see how this set works out

BTW when removing material you might get away with just removing it at the bottom of the port area where the push rod is closest. I would recomend removing the heads to do it to be honest. we tried on mine with out removing the heads and the stuff got every where. We had to take the engine back apart. That is when I ordered the Offset rockers. After we cut the isky plates down to fit they must be ground so they push closer together, about 1/4 off each side) every thing lined up fine.

Now Lloyd we are going to have to talk about why your porting improves AFTER I always get a set of heads done

LE-X heads huh? I was thinking LE3+, or LE3.5 or something like that We'll just wait and see thow this thing performes.

I only plan on removing what I need. Im going to mark the exact spots where the PR is rubbing, then massage that area a little bit. I really dont want to take the heads off though, and I want to grind a little at a time to get only what I need. I think Im gonna stuff the lifter valley full of rags, as well as the intake runners. If I use one of my coarse carbide bits, the material will come off in large chuncks, and wont go eveywhere. Ill probably do that rather than using a stone which would dust up.

I wanted to run those jegs RRs as well, but they were on back order for ever. I found a guy who had some slightly used crowers for sale though, so I picked them up and had them within days Ive now ordered my correct length PRs, and as soon as I get my guideplates adjusted, and valve lash set, this thing will be going in the car! I hope to have it running next weekend, but I may have to take a day off of work to do that.

Nice! I made the call to pull the heads and I had a POS rev kit on at the time. I still feel it was a good call...even though then the Rev kit dumped trash into the engine

JUST SAY NO TO REV KIT AND Comp "R"s LOL!

Now the car is down to another dead Opti! NOT going to happen again! You know how stupid you look when your car breaks down and the guy at the FORD dealership come out to push!

Delteq On The way!
