another fuel issue....

Here's the motor; fresh 355,LE2 h/c, #30 SVO's,stock f/p regulator and pump, 58mm holley t/b with pcmforless tuning. Soon as I fired the motor for the first time it started right up, but, its running WAAAYY rich. The plugs are literely dripping wet, wont start without holding it to the floor, wont idle by itself and when it gets around 900rpm it gets a violent "jerk", like you turned it off and right back on again. Its missing like crazy, prolly cause the plugs foul out soon as it fires . Checked fuel pressure; jumps up to 47 when you turn the key on, then falls to 40psi after the pump stops and it holds pressure just fine. I've checked the wires 138 times, removed opti (only bout 2k miles on it) and reinstalled it correctly prolly 42 times , and yes I know it can be installed wrong, i'm sure its on correctly. Its dumping so much fuel its in the oil, I dont really wanna run it unless I have to, referring to a scanner. I dont want to start throwing parts at this thing. Where should I turn to?? Coolant temp sensors?? I had it on a scanner when I first fired it and no codes, untill after bout 10 min. then it set the bad o2 code, i'm guessing due to the rich exhaust. Is there any way that Brian could have maybe messed up the tune? Not knocking him at all, he's tuned all my cars and I will continue to use him, but I'm just trying to narrow stuff down here, HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: another fuel issue....

If ya put coated headers on it chances are your O2's are shot from the coating burning off.
It probably isn't Bryan's fault.
Did ya check the TPS voltage?

Re: another fuel issue....

You seem to have assumed that the O2 code set because of rich exhaust. How about... the O2 sensor problem CAUSED the rich exhaust? What specific code did you get for the O2 sensor?

Have you verified with Brian that he had the correct injector info when he did the tune?

You mentioned the coolant temp sensor.... have you checked it with the scanner - you don't even have to start the engine to do that.

Re: another fuel issue....

the reason I assumed the o2 was bad "after" the fact was because I didnt have any check engine light untill after the car ran for awhile. The code was for the pass. side o2,replaced it and still had same prob. When I sent Brian the tuning "form" I made sure I mentioned it a few times. Can he pull up my file and see if it was done, or could he maybe just forgot?? I'll check shoebox's site to see how to check the 2 sensors. Keep the ideas coming, i've had this NEW engine installed for bout a month and a half now and still have'nt got to drive the damn thing
