Tonight I was working on my '93 Formula and turned off my flashlight and looked at the spark plugs and wires in the dark. I could see the spark 'pulses' go through the wires to the plugs while it was running, pretty amusing. I compared it to my 99 SS and I didn't see the 'pulses' on it. Anyone else notice this on their cars? I guess it's time for new wires..

 

Ya if you can see it arcing or sparks that is a tell tale sign to replace the plugs and wires.

 

LOl & if you see the current acctually traveling through, that would prolly be caused from old wires inducing tons of resistance causing them to glow where the current passes through, once the insulation completely fails so will your spark, and maybe even your optispark.
