I was just doing a little inspection on the ol' girl. Turns out the bolt on the back of the alternator was loose, the bolt that holds connects the positive cable. Loose isn't the right description...it came right out!!

Tested battery. Was O.k.

The bolt is boxed then threaded at the end.

Anybody ever had this problem?

 

I guess I just have to open up the alternator and put that bolt back on. This time with red loctite. I guess im lucky the nut that came off inside didn't short anything out.
