i just unplugged the AIR pump, took it out, and proceeded to throw it at my driveway, since it was blown. then put a good fuse in the fuse box for the AIR pump, and never had any problems. i think there's a vacuum line going to it or something, I don't remember, thinking it went into the drivers side manifold? never have had any SES codes for hte AIR pump though (except from before i took it out when it was blown).

There is a vacuum line that goes to the drivers side intake manifold, that needs to come off, and plug the intake.

Whether there is a vacuum line (and several other components) depends on the year of the car, and whether the "AIR recall" was done on the car.

When you delete the AIR pump, you will remove the air supply line that runs from your air intake ducting to the AIR pump. The connection on the air ducting needs to be blocked off with a 3/4" vacuum cap.
