Clary, I am sorry to hear about your problems with Agostino Ripoff Engines. I had alot of problems with them 3 years ago and came away with one hell of a bill and a piece of crap for a car. They lied, overcharged, and pushed my stuff aside to work on other cars. I don't know if you are the one that E-Mailed me or not. If so, I'd really like to talk to you. I just want people to know that AGOSTINO WILL RIP YOU OFF.

93 Indy,

Did you have another shop rebuild your engine? Could you share with us what they found wrong? I hope everything worked out for you and your enjoying your car.

My new 355 is coming from AP Engineering, and those guys there are AWESOME to work with. Some of the best customer service I've seen yet.

I was hoping you would chime in on this one. I was going to search for that post you posted several years ago. I saw the pics that you took when the motor was taken apart for like the 2-3rd time. The machine work they did was horrible.

The second time it was rebuilt, Agostino did it. I took it back to Agostino because they said they would warranty it, they lied as usual and accused me of spraying it. I ended up paying them $1300 on top of the original $22,000 for 350RWHP. I knew something wasn't right with it, so I pulled the engine myself and tore it down to find that the heads were barely cleaned up and the machine work on the valve seats was horrible. I then took the engine to M.O.R.E. Performance and they re-honed the block, coated my pistons and put it back together without Agostino's cam. I also had to have someone go back through the heads. I haven't gotten it out on the street because I have a new project I'm working on, but during the break in miles, the car felt pretty good. I am going to pull the engine again and put it back to stock, my new project needs funds.

jkbadz28, it might take me awhile to find the thread, but ANY time I see or hear about Agostino, I will chime in with my experience. Bunch of friggin thiefs working up there.

I was wondering if any of you were taken care of? I spoke with one member from here on the phone and I was informed that Nick would be "making things right". Has that happened? I decided to post on the thread in the other forum and see if I hear back from Mr. Agostino. I think if he decides to make things right with my car, I'll go to every board and give them credit for turning things around. All I ever wanted was to get what I paid for.

Hey all,
I am in the process of summing up the engine audit I conducted on the 396 I purchased from ARE in terms of describing the quality of parts that were used and the neglegance in terms of guidlines an experienced engine builder should be following for relability guidelines in a daily driver.
It does not look good and there are serious issues with the part choices that would have lead to a motor blowing up.
I will be posting a summary with detailed pics and maybe even a website along with getting my lawyer on the case when the audit is done.
All I can say is it is truely unbeleivable that things I'm seeing.
Stay tunned...

I was talking to Nick Agostino last week and he is going to settle with me this week. He is supposed to email me what he is going to do for me. Money, flywheel pistons and rods, rings and gaskets.
I havn't heard anything yet, and I'll believe it when I see it. I'll keep you all posted.

Agostino gives new meaning to the words low lifes, all I wish is that no else gets suckered in by them.It will come back to them for what they have cheated some many hard working people out of there money.I just see the word ARE and I go off the deep end good ridance to them.

I'm going to be restrained for once and only say ARE (Nick) is playing upon international laws to protect him. He continues to produce something less than high school shop project quality while promoting them as "state-of-the-art" racing engines.

The guy should be in prison and if it were not for international borders and a civil law vs criminal law mentality........ he would be.

The best thing all of us can do is spread the word on other boards. Especially when someone comes along bragging about the awesome work the shop does.

GMHTP thinks these guys are the greatest thing since white bread. I was actually considering sending my heads to them to get them ported, but aint gonna happen after reading this thread.

GMHTP will write anything good about anyone who gives them free stuff. I am not saying all the shops is the magazine are like this.
