Advice Needed: Tuning 94-95 Buick LT1 Roadmaster Wagon

I haven't been on the boards for a while and I'm hoping a few of you might be able to help me out.

A neighbor of mine owns a 94-95 Buick Roadmaster Wagon LT1 with about 125+k on it. He's got the check engine light, sputtering, etc. He took it to 2 places so far and the shops quoted around $1000 to do it. Without owning the right equipment to test his car, I'm assuming that at this point, he needs plugs, wires, water pump, and optispark based on these 2 shops quotes.

I told him I'm willing to do the job, but without seeing his car as of this post, I'm hoping a fellow Roadmaster owner can fill me in on doing this job.

I once owned an LT1 Z28 and did the plugs and wires, even with an apprentice tech and myself, we got it done.

Thanks for some help.

You mean tune-up then? Shouldn't be any different than an LT1 in a different car for what you need to do.

b-body is easier to work on than an f-body, LOTS more room. If you handle this stuff on your own you should have no problem with this.
