Advice needed on engine swap 94 z28 swaping 96 engine

Like the title says I have a 94 camaro z28 I am going to be swaping a motor out of a 96 camaro into the 94. is there anything I need to know that is different or that will give me a hard time and if so what is the solution? I know that mine is the non vented opti and this one is the vented. just trying to get all my ducks in order here. thanks in advance.

You should do a search on this.there are many threads on what you're looking at doing.

You'll need to swap the short Opti harness and the knock sensor. Just ignore the crank position sensor on the timing cover...your harness doesn't include a provision for it.i believe the EGR is different as is the exhaust...unless you have long tube headers.

Pretty much everything else is the same or close enough.....

Good luck!

EGR is the same. It's the AIR cnnections that are different.

You will also end up with an EVAP vacuum switch on the passenger valve cover that doesn't need to be hooked up.
