Ok,where to start..95 camaro,020 over lt1,with stock cnc ported heads, comp cam,242 intake 252 exhaust@115.0,fully ported lt1 edelbrock intake,BBk 58 mm tb,pacesetter lts, borla exhaust,Msd opti, ngk plugs, moore 10 mm race wires,4000 stall, built 4l60e..here is the problem after I installed the 4000 stall converter the car will not idle on its own,I am getting code 33,map sensor voltage high, low vacuum. If I unplug the MAF it will idle and rev up fine, but if I put the car in gear it will die out..I am suppose to be getting the car dyno tuned on Monday,I just need to have it idle on its own..I will be installing 42lb injectors before I take it in for the tune.Any ideas what could be going on?I already replaced the map sensor and connector..

I had a "start up tune"done at a place called Vector motorsports...Its suppose to go back on Monday for the actual dyno tune..I just need to get this thing to idle on its own..With the MAF sensor plugged in the car wont idle at all.If i try to rev it up,it will backfire and stumble, then stall out..
Re: Advice Needed
That cam is WAY TOO BIG, and with a 115LS?
Who spec'd it?
Sounds like your overall combo is overbuilt. Might be very difficult to achieve even satisfactory results.

Re: Advice Needed
I agree with the rest. Maybe they know LS1s and thought they could size a cam for an LT1? LS1 cams often have durations near that but I've never seen one on an LT unless it is low compression forced induction like the guys are saying.
Re: Advice Needed
Thats what I asked the guy,he said "dont worry it will work great for you"..everyone I tell the specs to ask how much boost are you running or what size shot of N2o..this is a N/A motor..Any idea why the motor will run with the MAF unplugged and as soon as I plug it back in its stumbles, then shuts off..
Re: Advice Needed
MAF sensor could be dirty, or its failed. Since you don't have DTC 48 for the MAF it hasn't totally failed. See if its dirty. Make sure its installed in the correct direction. Is it "ported"? And check to make sure you don't have an air leak after the MAF sensor.
