Question Advanced Header question. Feel free to read but please don't reply with useless info

I pulled my Pass side header today. I noticed the number 2 primary (first on right side) had some black around the flange but the rest of the pipe was real clean compaired to the other 3 primaries. The # 4 was not as dirty as 6 or 8 but it was not as clean as #2.
Im wondering if it is possible to have a cylinder not firing properly? How would I check for this and what could be the cause. Fuel or spark, correct. IE Plug or wire or fuel injector?

When I pulled my plugs most of the had a yellowish color to them. This indicates that they are getting heated up fast under acceleration. Correct? What would I do to fix this? Colder plug, more gap less gap?
What else could I look at to see if I have a miss? Tomorrow I plane on looking at the top of the cyl threw the plug hole. I asl want to do a compression ck on all 8 cyl to se what Im running.

Also how much can you port the Hooker LT's? I see a lot of places where exhaust is hitting the flange or gasket rather than going down the primary.

Only the inner side of the flange is black where the heads are ported wider than the headers. The gaskets apear to have a indented seal from the torque of header bolts.

I'd guess either a header gasket leak or a valve rocker too tight.
