About to give up! MISFIRE

Well my car is in the shop and it just had all new wires and plugs installed and they said that should fix the problem, well they took it out and it still popped a misfire code in cylinder 4, so he took it back in fooled around with it checked it again and then drove it it still misfires. WEll we are about outta options cuz the opti was replaced about 1500 miles ago. NE help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Vince

Well, since you said the opti, spark plugs, and wires are fine, the nex thing to check for would be leaky/sticking injectors. My friend just went through this on his 2001 Silverado, had a slight misfire. So he swapped coil packed and did plugs. Come to find out, he needed a new injector and hasn't ahd a problem since.

Move the number 4 injector to the number 2 spot and see if the misfire moves

I was getting a lot of misfires on my wifes 96 Jimmy. It turned out to be bad injectors.

Well boys and girls, it was a fuel injector stuck in full open so it was causing my engine to go crazy. Thanks for all the advice and help!
